All purchases on MX Marketplace are protected by PayPal Buyer Protection — at no extra cost to you.
When you pay via PayPal on MX Marketplace, your purchase is automatically covered by PayPal Buyer Protection. This means if something goes wrong, PayPal will help you get a full refund — with no extra fees or charges from us.
You're covered if:
- Your item doesn't arrive
- Your item is significantly different from the listing description
- Your item arrives damaged

Use the Buy Now button on any listing to start the secure PayPal checkout.
Pay via PayPal Goods & Services
All MX Marketplace payments are processed as Goods & Services — this is what activates PayPal Buyer Protection. Never pay as "Friends & Family" for marketplace purchases.
If there's a problem, open a PayPal dispute
Go to your PayPal account, find the transaction, and open a dispute. PayPal will mediate and issue a refund if your claim is valid.
⚠️ Never pay outside the platform
If a seller asks you to pay via bank transfer, cash, or PayPal Friends & Family — decline. These payment methods are not covered by buyer protection and are common scam tactics.
- Always complete transactions through MX Marketplace's checkout
- Keep all communications on the MX Marketplace messaging system
- Take photos/video when your item arrives in case of a dispute
- Open a PayPal dispute within 180 days of payment if there's an issue
- • Payments made outside MX Marketplace (e.g. cash, bank transfer, Friends & Family)
- • Buyer's remorse or change of mind
- • Items collected in person — inspect before handing over any payment
- • Wear and tear consistent with the listing description
